This tiger was such a grouch the day my Mommy, ~Iknowscrap, and I saw him at the West Coast Game Park in Bandon, OR. When I first tried to get cloes to the enclosure for a shot of him, he growled at me. Pretty ferocious sound, let me tell you. My Mommy didn't get off so easy, he pounced the fence trying to get at her. We both kept our distance after that. I was able to get this shot though. He was on the defensive scraming at the female tiger he shared the enclosure with. She'd just playfully pounced him, apparently he didn't want to play. It was pretty funny watching the female play pounce though...she wiggled her hind end right before pouncing, just like my house cat does.

Lens: 35-105 zoom, zoomed all the way in
Shutter speed/F-stop: Approx. 1/125 at f-5.6
Lighting Conditions: Mid morning, overcast
Post Processing: Photoshop for levels adjustments, dedusting, and border.

Note: I've noticed with these shots of the tigers, and I'm a little miffed by it, that colours aren't as vivid when they make the change from a .tiff file to a .jpeg. Does anyone know of a way to correct this, other than working in the jpeg format?
