First picture after making peace with my camera...
Anyway, I know this may look rather silly, but there's some deeper meaning behind it. The water balloon, representative of all things child-like and fun, is being crushed by a black boot and slacks, representative of those things which destroy childhood. In this case the obvious connection would be the adults who look down on fun and games, but I think it can easily relate to chldren who grow up in places where it's unsafe to play outside, or who are forced into early maturity because of bad parenting. This is part one of a two part series, and is dedicated to "Psycho-man" who has effectively made me feel unsafe in my own home. *Edit: Reduced size, added watermark, removed border. Also one other thing, I won't bother to say because I think only one person will notice, and it's because he made the suggestion. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
