These I some poppies I found on the way to the grocery store the other day. They're our state flower, and I personally like them quite a bit. They actually make the grungy old city look kinda nice for the short time they're in bloom.

I like the color too, and it was nice that you where able to find some and take a picture they are really pretty when they are in bloom and then they die and then it is sad.

wow...so vibrant against the dark greens of the stalks, which are lush and vibrant as well. astounding! this is an instant fav :D how'd you get the colours so vibrant, any tips?

THis, I can tech comment on, and its just gorgeous! Your balance of composition is excellent, the horizon line is perfectly level...the colors are also balanced in the right amount, just enough orange to enough green. Its hard to believe that you saw this shot on the way to the store, but hey...art is everywhere ^_~ just lovely 'kyndel :nod: :winner:
